This week a dedicated team of GCKI volunteers worked very hard to make improvements to our facility. Mike Hewitt arranged for 45 tons of crushed concrete and 75 tons of granular asphalt to be delivered to the track. Bill Choice, Bryan Joplin and Joe Bauhs did the "heavy lifting" using much slower machinery than we usually have racing around our grounds. The goal was to fill in the low spots in our paddock area to improve drainage and reduce the puddles we've seen this year on our rainy race weekends. Anyone coming out to this weekend's races will surely notice an improvement. We will be calling for a few work days ahead of the big TPKC races, and are hopeful many of our other members will be able to join us.
