Katy, TX, July 2023 – Cooper Shipman added another feather to his cap by emerging victorious in the KA100 Senior class at the United States Pro Kart Series National Karting Race held on June 25th, 2023. The event took place at the illustrious New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, Indiana, and showcased Shipman's exceptional skills and unwavering determination on the track.


Shipman's journey in the world of karting began at the tender age of 5, displaying an early passion for the sport that would propel him to excel in karting. From his humble beginnings, he has steadily honed his racing skills, dedicating countless hours to practice and pushing himself to the limits. Now, at the age of 15, Shipman has become a formidable force to be reckoned with in the competitive karting scene.


Since joining the national tour in 2017, Shipman has consistently performed at a high level, securing an impressive ten national podium finishes. Each race has served as a stepping stone, propelling him forward and providing valuable experience to further refine his technique. Shipman's dedication to his craft, combined with his natural talent, has set him apart from his peers, establishing him as one of the rising stars of American karting.


Not content with excelling solely in the karting realm, Shipman has also ventured into the world of formula racing. He currently competes in the esteemed Formula Ford Racing Series, where he continues to showcase his exceptional abilities and desire to conquer new challenges. By expanding his horizons and taking on different racing disciplines, Shipman displays a versatility that underscores his passion and commitment to motorsports.


During a recent interview with Alexander Searle, Shipman was asked about the individuals he would like to thank for his success. Gracious and humble, he replied, "I would like to thank Charlie Swayne, Iron Rock Motorsports, my mechanic, Alfio, Comet Racing Engines, and my mom and dad." This acknowledgment demonstrates Shipman's recognition of the collaborative efforts that have contributed to his achievements, emphasizing the importance of a dedicated team and unwavering familial support.


With each race, Cooper Shipman continues to prove himself as a formidable force in the world of karting. His recent victory at the United States Pro Kart Series National Karting Race in New Castle, Indiana, serves as a testament to his hard work, talent, and unwavering determination. Practice* 9:00am - 10:30am Spectators are welcome. There is a $10 fee for anyone over 5 years of age, and a wristband must be obtained in the club house.
