Gulf Coast Karters offers racers of any age the opportunity to go wheel to wheel in high-tech, high performance racing machines. Our recently expanded 0.7 mile kart road racing track provides the challenge. You provide the kart, the skill and the mettle against the best the Houston area has to offer.
Located just northwest of Katy, Texas, Gulf Coast Kartway is Houston's oldest kart racing club with an exceptional racing facility and annual memberships available at a very low cost. With your membership to Gulf Coast Karters you get virtually unlimited access to Gulf Coast Kartway on non-race dates for practice or just to go have fun. There are a wide variety of racing classes available, from 30 MPH "Kid Karts" for young kids, all the way up to 48 HP, 0-60 MPH in 3.5 second "125cc Shifters" that rival any car on the street. Gulf Coast Karters welcomes and encourages members and non-members to volunteer to help run our kart racing events. You don't have to race to be involved in kart racing at Gulf Coast Karters. You can be a Corner Worker, Grid Marshall or work the Concessions Stand on race day and get paid for your service to GCKI. You don't have to be a member to serve as a race worker.
