GCKI members,
I am happy to announce our upcoming “Track Work Weekend”!
The cooler weather has finally arrived, and we will take care of our long overdue facility maintenance November 6th, 7th & 8th.
Work will include tree, brush, and debris removal from the perimeter ditches of the property, flag stand painting and repair, cleaning the drains in the curbing, bleacher awning repair, general cleaning and repainting in the clubhouse, lots of weeding along fences, and edging of the pit runners.
We will also apply another Rhino grip patch on Monday, as we continue to work on saving our track surface from wear and weathering.
I am asking for volunteers to help Saturday and Sunday. Doing this work ourselves builds camaraderie amongst our members and defrays the cost of maintenance and which helps keep our annual membership cost as low as possible.
Please bring a weed whacker or chain saw if you have them, along with work gloves and safety glasses. We will provide paint and painting supplies.
We will provide lunch to all volunteers both days, but we need a headcount to properly prepare.
Please RSVP to Mark Chandler This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , include the number of people and which day or days you will be joining for lunch.
Because of the equipment and people that will be on the track these three days, we will be closed to all karts and motorcycles. Thanks in advance for your understanding as your safety is our primary concern.
Regards,
Jay Kleinheinz
