GCKI Fall 3 Race CancelledRacers,
Because we rescheduled the Oklahoma Southwest Regional Cup Series race from it's original May date to September 1-3rd,
the GCKI Board of Directors has decided to cancel our GCKI Fall Race 3 which was scheduled for Sept. 3rd.
This will make the fall season 6 races rather than 7. Fall season points will be calculated based on a racers 4 best race finishes. (2 drops)
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I hope to see everyone at our next club race, Fall 2 August 13th, and again at OMC on Labor Day weekend for the SWRC races 5/6!
Thanks for your understanding.
Jay Kleinheinz
GCKI President
Thank You for Participating in the SWRC SeriesThank you to all the racers, families and fans that made Southwest Regional Cup Series races 3 & 4 at GCKI in Katy TX, a success!
The racing was great, all the classes were competitive. The KA100’s and LO206’s really put on a show with great bumper to bumper action!
All the proceeds from these races go directly back into operations and maintenance of our facility. The success of this series helps keep club racing alive and affordable in the Houston area.
Based on feedback from participants, and in an effort to keep the cost of running our series as low as possible, the purchase of new tires for all LO206 classes will now be optional rather than mandatory. The specification will remain Evinco Blue for all classes except TAG and Shifter which are Evinco Red. The same LO206 rules apply, the racer must run the same tires for both Saturday and Sunday, but they don’t have to be new when you start. If a racer chooses to run new Evinco Blue tires, they must have been purchased via the SWRC registration process. We will continue to offer both 7.10 and 6.0 rear tires (drivers choice).
We look forward to seeing everyone for rounds 5&6 at the fantastic OMC facility in Norman OK. September 1-3rd, and the season finally on the brand-new track at DKC October 13-15th!
Once again, Thank You for your support of the Southwest Regional Cup Series!! Cooper Shipman Triumphs at United States Pro Kart Series National Race
